I’m an English-speaking attorney in Sofia. I help founders set up companies in Bulgaria, buyers check property before paying a deposit, and businesses negotiate contracts and recover unpaid invoices. Consultations are available in English or Russian, including from abroad.

How we start working together

- Agree the scope and feeWe clarify the work, documents and costs before the engagement starts.
- Plan the next stepsWe arrange document sharing, the consultation and the actions required.
Working with a Bulgarian lawyer from abroad
You can start by explaining your matter in English. I will clarify the proposed work, the information needed and the next steps before you commit to an engagement.
What should I send first?
Describe the issue, identify the parties, say what you want to achieve and flag any deadline. Mention where you are based and whether the matter concerns a company, contract, property or dispute. We can then agree which documents are needed and how to share them.
How are scope and fees agreed?
The proposed engagement identifies the work covered and the legal fee. Court, registry, notarial, translation and other third-party costs are considered separately. A document review, negotiations and court representation may require different scopes.
Advice and document review can often begin remotely. Whether a later step needs your attendance, an original document or a notarised power of attorney depends on the matter and the receiving institution. Confirm the signing requirements before arranging certification abroad.
